Assistant Professor, Andrew John Wit's research has been featured in the journal 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing. His work focuses on Craft Driven Robotic Composites. Craft Driven Robotic Composites investigates the intersection of weaving as a craft, and as a numerically controlled robotic winding procedure through a series of hand-crafted and robotically fabricated Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) installations. This article examines novel processes of CFRP winding through the lens of future projects centered around craft driven, large-scale architectural applications.
