Monica Anke Hahn has been awarded an Everett Helm Fellowship from the Lilly Library of Indiana University at Bloomington.  During her residence at the library she will examine the rich holdings of the Elisabeth Ball collection of children's literature, which contains many remarkable and some unique volumes of 18th-century print culture.  Many of these very rare materials demonstrate the ways in which the English public engaged with the Native body, and will be critical for the advancement of Monica's dissertation project, Go-Between Portraits and the Imperial Imagination circa 1800.
