New Associate Planner for Upper Merion Township

Author: Tracy Purdy

Kyle Brown (MCRP ’16) has been hired as an Associate Planner for Upper Merion Township in Montgomery County. He will be doing subdivision and land development review as well as community comprehensive planning and some policy support.

“King of Prussia is one of the largest employment centers outside the city, so it's really cool to be able to have some sort of positive impact on that scale. I'm really excited to help Upper Merion become a better place to live, work, and visit, and there are some big projects coming to the community that have an opportunity to be a big step forward for the quality of life and sustainability of the community.

Planning Law definitely helped me navigate how municipal planning processes interact with property and land development issues. I also try whenever possible to pull ideas from Lynn Mandarano’s Sustainable Community Design class, since the community has a lot of chances to move forward in some of those areas.”
