Planning Alumni Forum held in Center City

Alumni give insights into Planning field

On Apri 7th, the Temple Student Planning Organization held its second annual Planning Alumni Forum. Three MS City and Regional Planning alumni spoke about their careers in planning, including: Brandon Vaughn of the Mayors Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Service, Jonathan Tehrani of South Kensignton Community Partners, and Christopher Dougherty of the Fairmount Park Conservancy. Joining the alumni at the forum was current student Ashley Nuckles of the Greater Valley Forge Transportation Management Association.  Ashley graduated with a BS Community Development in 2015 and currently in the graudate program through the 4+1 option.

These alumni provided excellent advice on many aspects of the planning and community development job fields. They also gave advice on the powwer of networking and maintaining professional relationships, nailing an interview, and how to best convey the skills and knowledge gained through the City and Regional Planning graduate program.
