Written by: Dorothy Scholnick BS FM'16
The International Facility Management Association's World Workplace (WWP) is a great experience for students to gain networking experience and develop relationships with FM professionals from around the world. This year WWP was held in in the heart of Downtown Denver, Colorado at the Convention Center. Students had the opportunity to walk the expo floor and talk with various professionals involved in the Facilities Management field. The week was filled with various building tours, lectures, educational workshops, as well as social events and city exploration!
There was a scholarship reception to recognize this year's winners, which included three of Temple's own students. Jonathan Temple, a senior in Facilities Management, received the Utilities Council scholarship. Admir Sabljic, a graduate student pursing a Master of Architecture degree, received the Charles N Claar Memorial, Central Pennsylvania Chapter scholarship. Dorothy Scholnick, a senior in Facilities Management, received the Greater Philadelphia Chapter scholarship. The entire experience provided an invaluable opportunity to expand both professional and student networks.
