Tyler Art History Professor Adele Nelson Awarded Fulbright
Art History Professor Adele Nelson has been awarded a Fulbright Postdoctoral Research Award to Brazil for Spring 2015, one of only 5 scholars to receive the award. She will complete research for her current book project, which studies how abstract art developed in twentieth-century Brazil in close relation to new modern art institutions. She will be affiliated with the graduate art history program at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), one of the most respected institutions for art historical studies in Brazil.
