Tyler Carnival Is a Major Success

Once per year, Tyler throws a celebration to reward the students and faculty for their hard work throughout the semester by bringing in rides, free food, and games open to anyone who walks through the doors! Every year brings something different to the students, and this year was no exception to the rule of excellence.

Despite the event taking place inside for the first time since its inception due to an overwhelming expectation of heavy rain, the turnout was bigger, and the food was even more plentiful! Mini funnel cakes, a DJ, cotton candy, free junk food, inflatable rides, (and the highlight of the evening: A mechanical bull!) were all available for the carnival-goers to enjoy from 1PM to 4PM. Students filled the halls of Tyler to enjoy what the carnival had to offer. The day was bright and sunny and the atmosphere was energetic despite the beginning of finals.

This is a yearly event that all students are encouraged to attend. After all, what more could you ask for during finals week to destress and unwind in between your study sessions and tests? The event is free to attend, as are all of the available rides and food. Whether you want to stock up on junk food or kick back in the bounce house, the Tyler Carnival is definitely the place for you to be!

Every year the event improves, and next year is sure to be no different. Set aside some time to come out and enjoy next spring!
