Yo, Piranesi! Exhibit + Architecture Alumni Talks (Temple University Rome 50th Anniversary Celebration)
In a new exhibit coming to the DaVinci Art Alliance, eight artists/architects investigate Giovanni Battista Piranesi's etched 18th century veduta (views) of Rome as it pertains to the city of Philadelphia today. Piranesi's work blurs the line between past and present, depicting contemporary urban life on a backdrop of ancient ruins. This exhibit is part of the Temple University Rome 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The exhibition runs from March 1st to March 12th, with an opening reception March 1st from 6-8 pm.
