Temple Summer Academy invites students entering grades 11 or 12 to experience the academics, energy and culture of Temple University through this rigorous four-week summer program.
Temple Summer Academy students spend the morning taking one General Education (“GenEd”) course for either three or four college credits. In the afternoon, students participate in two non-credit academic workshops of their choice. Each of these workshops is two weeks long and topics include art, design, business, writing, pre-law, leadership and other introductions to various fields of undergraduate study at Temple University. If you have a strong interest in the arts, but also want to expand your knowledge in other academic areas of study, all while earning college credits, this interdisciplinary program is for you!
Temple Summer Academy students will have the opportunity to:
> Earn three of four college credits.
> Earn a $4,000 Temple tuition grant.*
> Take a college course taught by enthusiastic and knowledgeable Temple faculty.
> Explore other areas of undergraduate study—including fine and digital arts—through non-credit workshops.
> Receive college admissions support and insight into careers.
> Socialize with other high school students of diverse interests and backgrounds.
