AED Lecture: Andrea Cochran

AED Presents: Andrea Cochran, FASLA, of San Francisco-based firm Andrea Cochran Landscape Architecture, will discuss the process of creating landscapes that visualize the ephemeral and transitory elements of our natural world in her talk, Immersive Landscapes. She encourages audiences to approach the concept of space through a different lens and emphasizes the experiential qualities of the built environment in order to cultivate an evergreen connection to people and their surroundings.

Cochran’s work has been featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and she has earned several illustrious awards, including the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in Landscape Architecture and the American Society of Landscape Architects’ Design Medal in 2014.
