Students in the MS City and Regional Planning spring 2016 studio were recipients of this year’s first and second place American Planning Association PA Southeast Section John Pickett Student Scholarship Award.
The event was held this year in Conshohocken, where several presenters shared projects from around the area, after which the students were presented with their awards, which included a cash award for the top three papers. Temple MS CTRP graduates Michelle Atherton, Leonard Bonarek, Corey Brown, Michelle Goddard, and Ted Mullen were all in attendance. Mark Huber was not able to attend. Several Temple alumni also were in attendance at the event, many of whom now work in the Philadelphia area.
The papers, entitled “Community Engagement North of Lehigh, Kensington” and “Division Street Revitalization” won the First and Second Place Award for a Group Paper, respectively.
