Students enrolled in courses at Tyler are required to have access to a personal laptop computer that meets the minimum specifications outlined on our website. Laptops are used regularly in coursework and should support digital tools used throughout a student’s degree program.

Devices That Are Not Acceptable:

• Chromebooks

• iPads or tablets as a primary computer*

• Entry-level laptops with less than 16 GB RAMand 512 GB storage

* Tablets may be used as supplemental tools but do not replace a laptop.
