Dylan Beck

At present, Dylan J. Beck is an Assistant Professor of Art and the Ceramics Area Chair at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. As a 2012 NCECA Emerging artist, Dylan was chosen to represent the organization by presenting a lecture at the CAA conference in NYC this winter. His research focus is on the interaction between built space and the natural environment and the idea that manmade landscapes express a society’s material and political priorities. Dylan has received research grants for work with rapid prototyping as well as studio sustainability and efficiency modifications. Since graduating from Tyler, Dylan has exhibited his work extensively. This summer he will present a solo exhibition at the Leedy Voulkos Arts Center in Kansas City, MO.
