Imagination allows the opportunity to rethink the world around us, to reconstruct past experiences in order to envision a different kind of future, to shape the affectations of our environment in search of deeper meaning.

My work explores the particularities of my experience of the environment to question how the idea of place is created, and suggest the possibility of something new.

Grounding myself in reality enriches my faith in this possibility.  Archiving my direct experience of the world enables the access of a constellation of ideas that breed new relationships.  The familiar becomes transformed through the imaginative process, and a memory of what was fuels a belief in what might be.

My artistic process has grown from the practice of documentation.  I record the world around me.  Through forging connections between my intellectual and emotional experience of place, I seek to reconcile my own relationship with the environment and offer the potential for change.
