Critical Dialogue Series: Julie Ezelle-Patton
Poet, performer, and artist Julie Ezelle-Patton is the author of Notes for (Sum) Nominally Awake, and Flower Poem, and the forthcoming J-Walking thru the Alphabet, an edited selection of concrete, visual, and textual poetics. Her Let it Bee (LIB) Arkhive—a "poetic conceit" housing art, stray cats, native trees, and Womb Room Tomb, a tribute to painter/sculptor Virgie Patton—was featured in the 2018 Front International Triennial to great acclaim. A recipient of the Acker Award, Doan Brook Watershed Hero Award, and a Foundation for Contemporary Arts Poetry Award, Patton's sound and performance work emphasizes a diverse range of collaborative compositions.
This event is co-hosted by the Poets & Writers Series. The Critical Dialogue Series is supported by the Temple University General Activities Fund.
