Jack Wolgin Annual Visiting Artist: Cecilia Vicuña in conversation with Jena Osman

Please join us for a virtual conversation with poet, artist, film-maker, and activist Cecilia Vicuña, Tyler’s 2020–2021 Jack Wolgin Annual Visiting Artist. Vicuña’s work addresses pressing con-cerns, including ecological destruction, human rights and cul-tural homogenization. Her multidimensional works begin as a poem, an image that morphs into a film, a song, a sculpture or a collective performance. These ephemeral, site-specific installa-tions in nature, streets and museums combine ritual and as-semblage. Vicuña will be joined by her friend, fellow poet and Temple Professor of English, Jena Osman, to discuss Vicuña’s multidisciplinary creative process.
