The Tyler School of Art and Architecture 2026 Graduation Ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 7 at 2:30 p.m. in McGonigle Hall, 1800 N. Broad Street. A reception in the Tyler building will precede the ceremony.

Meet Our Student Speaker

Hanna Awad

Hanna Awad '26, Bachelor of Science in Architecture

Tyler's Class of 2026 Student Address will be delivered by Hanna Awad, a graduating senior completing her Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Her academic excellence has earned her a place on the Dean’s List and honors including the Conwell Scholarship, Laurie Wagman Internship Scholarship, Shaubs Scholarship, and the AIA Pennsylvania Jade Scholarship Award.

Awad has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership, service and community. As co-president of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS), she has fostered an inclusive and supportive environment for her peers. She has also served as the event coordinator for AIA Philadelphia’s Emerging Architects and as Temple’s AXP Student Advisor. Her service work with Temple United Mission Relief, Habitat for Humanity, Tiny WPA, and NOMA Project Pipeline reflects her belief in architecture’s social impact.

During her time as a Project Delivery Architect Intern at Temple University, she gained real-world experience supporting projects like the transformation of Paley Hall. Awad is committed to using architecture as a tool for community impact. After finishing her undergraduate degree, she will continue to pursue a Master of Architecture degree from Tyler.
