Fellowship
The Studio Fellowship at the Center for Art and Creative Exchange offers Tyler MFA students a unique opportunity to continue their artistic practice in Philadelphia after graduation.
Based at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in the heart of Philadelphia, the fellow-ship provides subsidized studio space and an intensive program of critical exchange with art world leaders including guest curators, critics, gallerists and artists through studio vis-its and related conversations.
The program offers 15 subsidized artist studios for post-MFA fellows, ranging from 300 to 550 square feet, and a 1,700-square-foot flex studio for fellow-led programming and collabo-rative use. Fellows also have access to PAFA’s broader facilities and resources for sculpture, printmaking and papermaking. The fellowship helps emerging artists continue their practice in Philadelphia while building professional momentum, expanding their networks, and strengthening post-graduate opportunities. It also serves as a hub for fellow-led program-ming, welcoming the broader community into open studios and other events that place the fellows’ work at the center of an active and expanding artistic community.
