Fauzia Sadiq Garcia is an Associate Professor of Instruction at Temple University and Program Head of Architecture, Facilities Management & Historic Preservation.

She is a registered architect, educator and artist whose work leverages emerging technologies to challenge conventional material practices and construction methods. Her teaching includes architecture studios focused on resilience during extreme heat and drought climate conditions, and studios centered on communities disproportionately affected by pollution.

Her commitment to service is reflected in her participation in the Provost’s Teaching Academy and in her role co-facilitating faculty workshops that centered on sustainability integration into course content in partnership with the Office of Sustainability. Most recently, Fauzia was invited to participate in the national Student Experience Project, initially as a trainee and now as a co-facilitator, supporting efforts to foster positive learning environments.

Fauzia is principal at Sadiq Garcia Design, a visual arts and design practice that explores diverse modes of fabrication for custom products and creative design solutions for architectural projects. She brings several decades of professional experience from firms in Atlanta, New York City and Philadelphia, contributing to high-profile international projects and award-winning national projects. Fauzia also serves on the Board of the American Institute of Architects Philadelphia chapter as Director of Education and is a member of the Editorial Board for the AIA Philadelphia Context Journal.
