Operating with tandem modalities of studio practice and historical research, Frank works across temporalities and mediums to investigate art as the edifice for celebrated alterity. Frank’s primary points of focus are the depictions of transgender & genderqueer people, monsters & creatures, and the intersection of horror and queerness in visual media.  As a weird creature artist, his research into dissident, queer art often manifests in queer monster-making of his own. Displaying his work in exhibitions in the DFW area, as well as creating public art for several cities in Texas, Frank has advocated for appreciation of beautiful grotesqueries. His work at Temple University explores the persistent power and presence of subversiveness in art, emphasizing that queer subjectivity is and has always been integral to art history.
