Jackie Streker (she/they) is a PhD candidate studying the history of print and printmaking, specializing in early sixteenth-century representations of the environment.  Her dissertation explores how geological concepts can reshape our understanding of printmaking, and emphasizes the value of process-oriented approaches that connect artistic production to broader models of natural formation and transformation.  They have presented related work at conferences across the United States and Germany.

Before continuing her studies at Tyler, Jackie worked as curator of the Albert H. Small Washingtoniana Collection at The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum, where she developed multiple exhibitions including Eye of the Bird: Visions and View of D.C.’s Past, The Language of Maps, and Classical Washington.
