Marco Ferreira brings more than 20 years of experience in leadership, housing programs, and community development.

He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale, overseeing affordable housing initiatives and resident programs that support self-sufficiency. Before going to Florida, Marco spent over 9 years at the Philadelphia Housing Authority overseeing and redesigning their Homeownership program, integrating several resident self-sufficiency programing, establishing the agency's latest department, the Workforce Center at the Vaux Community Center, and involved in the Norris Homes and Sharswood Choice Neighborhood Grant that lead to several thousands of affordable rental and homeownership units in the Philadelphia area. 

Throughout his career, Marco has managed large teams, developed strategic programs, and built partnerships that make a positive impact in communities. As an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Temple University, he is passionate about sharing real-world knowledge and helping students connect classroom learning to practical applications.
