Adjunct Faculty Sculpture

Ollie Goss is an artist who uses installation, puppetry, and performance to create aberrations in reality as catalysts to propose alternatives for a more equitable world. Their work aims to interrogate how space is inscribed, and the permeable/impermeable nature of that designation through absurd and often collaborative projects.

In 2016, they were awarded a Watson Grant to study puppetry across seven different countries. From 2017-2019, they worked with Australia-based Snuff Puppets in the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Germany and Switzerland. Since 2018, they have been working with MacArthur “genius” Basil Twist, building puppets and performing in productions in the United States, France, the Netherlands, Denmark and Hong Kong. They have performed with Bread and Puppet Theatre, Sam Gold, and Dan Hurlin among others. Their own work has been seen at the likes of Dixon Place, La Mama, the Wassaic Project and Icebox Project Space.
