Rochelle Toner

Rochelle Toner

Rochelle Toner, Professor and Dean Emerita, is a nationally known printmaker and artist who works on paper. Toner served as the Dean of Tyler from 1989-2002.

Toner’s prints, watercolor drawings and collages reflect her lifelong fascination with the dynamics of nature and human interaction.  The images are abstractly referential, suggesting sources and physical processes, without the intrusion of the literal. Toner’s prints and works on paper have been exhibited widely and are held in various museum and private collections, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.  Her most recent major exhibition was a career overview at the Philadelphia Print Center in 2018.
