AED Presents: Spatial Practice Within Contested Geographies

Co-hosted by Tyler School of Art and Architecture and Journal of Architectural Education

Expanded practices found within global urbanization actively shape political space. And often the implementation of military and nation-state infrastructure replaces indigenous populations and claims rights over land, destroying environments along the way. And yet, what agency do our design disciplines have to repair and overcome future injustices? This forum is meant to gather a select Journal of Architectural Education (JAE) editorial board members to discuss recent journal issue topics, including settler-colonialism, design, infrastructure, and ecology within geographic areas of conflict. All are welcome!
