Artist Talk: Stephanie Deumer
Stephanie Deumer (she/her) is a Los Angeles-based artist whose practice spans photography, video, and installation. Much of her work presents women subjectively experiencing and interacting with their representations, and simultaneously expresses the mise en abyme of their objectification in infinite replications. Deumer's artist talk will center on her found footage film Spooky Action at a Distance and the research that went into its making.
This artist talk is presented in conjunction with the Moving Image + Sound Course taught by Alex Strada. It is open to all students, faculty and staff.
