First Graduate Symposium in Art History - Keynote Address

My Vagabond Sweetheart and Other Embroidered Tales

Historian, Islamic Art and Architecture

Deniz Türker, Assistant Professor of Islamic Art and Architecture at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, will discuss 19th century embroidery of the Ottoman region and the Mediterranean network of craft skills and practices in the aftermath of World War II.   

This event is presented by the Department of Art History as part of the First Graduate Symposium in Art History, and supported by Temple University’s General Activities Fund.

A reception will be held before the talk from 5:30-6 p.m.
