Real-World Experience and Fieldwork

In the Art Therapy program, you’ll gain hands-on experience through placements at agencies serving individuals with disabilities, where you'll mentor, facilitate therapeutic art, and complete a capstone project tied to your work in the field. Many graduates go on to earn advanced degrees in art therapy, while others begin careers in schools, hospitals, senior living centers, and mental health organizations—ready to make a difference through the power of art.

Guest Lectures

Guest speakers offer valuable opportunities to learn directly from professional art educators and art therapists as they share their expertise. These experiences bridge the gap between academic learning and applied experience, offering insight into a range of industries and career paths. They also broaden your perspective, connecting classroom concepts to the wider field, and spark meaningful conversations about technique and context.
