Robin Morris (she/her) studies modern and contemporary art of Europe and the United States. Her research examines anti-authoritarian artistic movements in Spain, the U.K., and the U.S., with particular attention to the transnational exchange of ideas during the late 20th century. She is particularly engaged with queer identities and feminist expressions of sexual agency within print culture.
Morris is the co-founder and co-curator of MEGA Gallery, an experimental art space. Her work has been supported by the Marcia Hall Summer Research Award and the Dean’s Grant of Support for Research. She recently completed an internship at the Barnes Foundation, where she conducted collections research and contributed short-form writing for online publication.
With an M.A. in Painting and a B.S. in Art Education, Morris integrates her personal studio practice and teaching experience into her research. Her methodologies emphasize collaboration and accessibility in both scholarship and curatorial work.
