Ulysses Sean Vance is an architect whose design research centers on accessibility in the built environment.

His research is grounded in inclusive decision-making throughout the planning and programming of health services across domestic and institutional spaces.

His design work maintains a primary emphasis on accommodating the distinct needs that promote the health and well-being of underserved communities. This work encompasses medical hygiene, physical activity, and recovery as health-related design interventions. Active projects explore the complexities of addressing health disparities in urban settings by assessing the degree of adversity, material hardship, and protective factors related to physical, social, neurological diversity, and environmental behavior.
