The 22nd Annual Graduate Student Symposium on the History of Art, will be held on Thursday and Friday, March 23–24, 2017, at the The Barnes Foundation, 2025 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

The Keynote lecture will be held on Thursday, March 23, 6:30–8 pm, at the Barnes Foundation, Comcast Auditorium: Jane Blocker, Professor of Art History, University of Minnesota: "Reality Mechanically Registered": Sound Recording and Racial Violence in Contemporary Art History"
The Symposium will be on Friday, March 24, 10 am–4:30 pm, also at the Barnes Foundation, Comcast Auditorium. This symposium brings together graduate students from nine mid-Atlantic colleges and universities to present current research in the field of art history. Each session includes presentations followed by a moderated discussion.
Temple will be represented by Michelle DiMarzo, who will be presenting her talk, "Titian and the Culture of Mid-Century Rome," in the first session, from 10–11:30am.
