Professors Tomasso di Carpegna Falconieri (University of Urbino), Grazia Maria Fachechi (University of Urbino) and Jonathan Kline (Tyler) to speak on fresco.

This panel discussion is partly in celebration of the publication of an edited volume on the Palazze frescoes.  The monastery of Santa Maria Inter Angelos (also called Le Palazze) contains late-thirteenth-century frescoes by a follower of Cimabue, active c. 1300. His work remained in situ until 1921, when it was stripped from the walls, slipped from Italy, and sold by dealers in France to collectors in the United States.
