Student Health Services
Temple Student Health Services provides affordable, accessible and high-quality care to students, staffed by board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs and medical assistants to meet every healthcare need. Walk-in hours and appointments are available at Temple’s Main Campus and Ambler campuses.
Tuttleman Counseling Services
Temple's Tuttleman Counseling Services offers free, confidential support and resources for students’ mental health needs, including individual and group counseling, psychiatric services and specialized programs focusing on substance awareness, resilience, eating and body image concerns, as well as sexual assault counseling.
Wellness Resource Center
The peer-educator programs at Temple’s Wellness Resource Center (WRC) provide education, resources and services so students can make healthier choices and bring balance to their lives. WRC focuses on sexual health, stress, drug and alcohol management and the prevention of interpersonal violence.
Campus Recreation
Tyler students have access to Temple’s expansive Campus Recreation facilities and programs, including several large fitness and recreation centers, a pool, a climbing wall, basketball courts, an artificial turf field complex, intramural sports, sports clubs, group fitness, personal training, workshops, adapted recreation—even a climbing wall.
Campus Safety
To provide students with a safe, secure environment around the clock, Temple employs a large police force—more than 125 sworn, trained Campus Safety Services officers—who maintain a constant presence in vehicles, on bikes and on foot as they monitor the university community and surrounding area. Campus Safety Services programs include an all-night walking escort service and self-defense classes, as well as emergency preparedness for all of its campuses.
