This entry was meant to display a specific feeling. This is the tightening feeling you get in your throat right before you cry. I also get this feeling when I am becoming overwhelmed or anxious. I thought it was important to display a very calm expression on the face because this is an internal feeling and there is no way of telling if someone is feeling this or not. I think that makes it a very intimate piece.

For this entry I chose to draw a mask for myself. I think the idea of drawing a mask for your identity is very interesting because masks are meant to cover your identity. Initially I drew the mask missing pieces because I felt like sometimes I don’t understand all the parts of myself or I haven’t met all the parts of myself yet. But, now that I look back on it I realize if I were to wear that mask all the “missing” parts would reveal my actual identity. I am not too sure what that means but, I feel like it is a very interesting thing to take away from this piece.

Two more experientials from class: [L] A scribble drawing, where we went back and filled in the shapes we saw with color; [R] A reaction to client work showed to us.

To the left is another in-class experiential. We were guided in meditation, and asked to respond to our experience. I envisioned me letting go of a red balloon, and releasing all of the stressors and negativity in my life. Two the right is my little monster. He is the bad emotions I don’t let myself feel. That’s why he’s so small.
