Jennifer DiCesare Galati

Jennifer entered Tyler’s MEd in Art Education program as a fifth-year public high school art teacher in Delran, New Jersey. While completing her coursework at Tyler, she remained a full-time classroom teacher and focused her research on arts integration. Throughout the course of her graduate study, Jennifer was able to transform her classroom into a holistic, process-based studio environment that encouraged students to explore cross-curricular themes. Since graduating in 2016, Jennifer has worked with teachers in her district to develop an integrated curriculum that addresses the educational needs of students. Most notably, she established the art instructor’s role for her district's S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engieering, Art, and Math) summer camp, provided Arts Infusion workshops for teachers participating in professional development, and is currently in the process of developing an integrated art course on contemporary issues. In addition, she has also worked as an art instructor with Drexel University to pilot their S.T.E.A.M. summer camp and presented her research via an art installation at the Pennsylvania Art Educators Association conference.
