Kate Clements
Kate Clements is a recent graduate from the MFA glass program. Since graduating in May 2015 she has been awarded the Museum of Art and Design Residency. This program fosters dialog between artists, designers, and the public. From October through February, Kate will be one of six artists in residence working in the Artist Studios at the MAD Museum in New York City.
Kate is currently preparing for her solo exhibition in November at Sherry Leedy Contemporary in Kansas City. In April she will be a part of the 38th annual Wind Challenge Exhibition at Fleisher Art. Established in 1978, the Wind Challenge Exhibition Series is an annual juried competition that is committed to enriching and expanding people's lives through art. Three Wind Challenge Exhibitions are held from September through May, featuring the work of exceptional artists living in the Philadelphia region. Kate’s work will be shown in the third round. In 2014 her work was featured in Vogue Gioiello and she was one of four artists to be featured in Bullseye Glass for Art and Architecture Catalog 10.
