Yixuan Pan (MFA '17)
Yixuan Pan (MFA '17) translates language through various devices: poetry, swimming pool, lollipops, soap bubbles, music therapy, glass shards, escorted situations, love letter, or whatever. By dislocating language from its context and form, she questions the words/sentences people learn and unlearn, specifically on its comfort, temperature, power, transparency, and hierarchy. She also received Tyler's Laurie Wagman Prize—a prestigious award given to just one graduating student in the school's Glass Program each year.
