Artist Statement

Daniel Seth Kraus’ work blends historical research with photographic practice in an effort to
deepen our understanding of people and places. Currently his research investigates faith and
work in the American south. Daniel’s work has been featured in numerous print and online
publications including Fraction Magazine, SeeSaw Magazine, Oxford American, and Ain’t Bad
Magazine. His photographs have been exhibited in national and international juried exhibitions
including the Morris Museum. He earned a BFA in Photography and a BA in History from the
University of North Florida, and is pursuing a MFA in Photography at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at
Temple University, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
