Artist Statement

I am drawn to the tension between tradition and transformation—the way something built with care evolves through time, shaped by human hands and stories. My work reflects this interplay, where heritage meets reinvention. As an immigrant, I see beauty in the spaces where cultures overlap, where contrasts create new connections, and where the marks of the past live on in unexpected ways.

What do I want to say with my art?

Celebrate resilience—the resilience of people, places, and ideas. Honor the imperfect, the evolving, and the deeply human. I strive to find beauty in what has been overlooked: patterns that tell stories, narratives that connect across time, and forms that hold meaning in their simplicity. My designs are an homage to the power of voices and traditions that persist against the odds.

Through thoughtful and intentional design, I aim to create experiences where people can reflect, empathize, and connect. My craft is rooted in the belief that design is not just a visual practice but a tool for dialogue—a way to preserve what matters and inspire a more inclusive and compassionate world, one mark at a time.
