2021 Robert Z. Shuman Lecture: Global Practice with Ray Brower (TYL '82)

By 2050 the world population is expected to grow to over 9 billion, with over 6 billion living in urban areas across the globe. The historical and projected increase in urbanization, and the resultant need for resilient and sustainable solutions to support these ever growing urban centers drives large international design practices such as CallisonRTKL. Join Temple Architecture alumni for a conversation with Ray Brower (BArch ’82), AIA, NCARB, on the present and future of practice in a global design context. Brower, a Principal and Vice President at CallisonRTKL, will share his experience built over more than 35 years, the past 20 of which he has spent at CallisonRTKL.

Ray Brower is a Principal and Vice President at CallisonRTKL, a global architecture, planning and design firm. He has over 35 years of experience in healthcare facility planning and project management and has been the leader of CallisonRTKL’s Washington DC healthcare studio since 2007. Since joining CallisonRTKL in 2001, his contributions have led to the success of a number of large-scale healthcare projects in the Middle East, South America, and North America.
