Artist Talk: Lauren Kalman

Join this in-person talk with visual artist Lauren Kalman, whose practice is rooted in contemporary craft, sculpture, video, photography, and performance.

Through performances using her body, Kalman’s work investigates constructions of the ideal and the feminine and their impacts and relationships to self-image, identity, crafts, and the built environment.

Kalman’s work has been featured in exhibitions at the Renwick Gallery at the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, Museum of Arts and Design, Museum of Contemporary Craft, among others.

This event is  organized by Tyler's Metals / Jewelry / CAD-CAM program and is open to all Tyler community members.
