The Art History Department invites you to attend a lecture by Dr. Rachel Grace Newman. Dr. Newman is a finalist in the faculty search in the Arts of Africa and the African Diaspora. She specializes in the arts of the Afro-Caribbean peoples, with an emphasis on the creolization, hybridity, and syncretism in the colonial exchange between Europe, African, the Caribbean, the United States, and Latin America.
