Lunch + Conversation: The Present and Future of U.S. Latinx Art
This event will be a lunchtime conversation on the state of U.S. Latinx art and emerging artists between Tyler's Pepón Osorio and E. Carmen Ramos, the Smithsonian American Art Museum's Curator of Latino Art and Deputy Director. This conversation will create an opportunity for open and informal dialogue with an interdisciplinary group of students, and present a forum for these two prominent figures in the U.S. Latinx arts community to share their overlapping perspectives as a practicing artist and a curator/arts administrator deeply engaged with the social and political issues impacting artists of Latin American descent and heritage.
