Merián Soto, Keep It Moving: 25 Years of Creative Research at Temple University's Department of Dance
"Keep it Moving" celebrates Temple Professor Emerita Merián Soto’s choreographic work and pedagogy in 14 videos of works created and/or performed by students and alumni of Temple University’s Department of Dance during her tenure from 1999-2024. These include choreographic explorations with salsa and other popular forms, reconstructions from early repertoire developed in New York City in the '80s and '90s, works created for and with students, and works from the Branch Dance and Modes! series.
Opening reception:
Friday, January 17 from 6-8 p.m.
With performances by Leslie Bush, Leslie Elkins, Enya Kalia Jordan, and Rachel Repinz at 7:30 p.m.
