MA in Art History

Ivy D’Agostino

Ivy D'Agostino (she/her) is a first year MA student interested in all things Baroque! She is coming to Tyler following her graduation magna cum laude from Marywood University where she received her BA in Art History with an applied major in Religious Studies and a minor in English. Her undergraduate honors thesis titled Our Lady of Guadalupe: Baroque Artistic Syncretism and Contemporary Mexican Women’s Religious Identity exhibits her research interests of the religious dialogue present within Latin American colonial Baroque art/architecture and how contemporary artists are utilizing art history to assert their identity. Ivy is passionate about curating spaces both in and outside the art history world where people feel their voices are heard and can fully thrive.
