Stephanie Knopp

Stephanie Knopp is a graphic designer, photographer, educator and writer whose work explores cultural, political, social and environmental issues. Her graphic design practice focuses on poster design. As a photographer, she uses lens-based, alternative and digital techniques to produce images focusing on the manmade environment. She is currently co-authoring a book about art and music.

Professor Knopp’s work has been published and won awards in many well-respected journals and books, including Graphis, How International Design Annual and Print Regional Design Annual. Her graphic design has been shown internationally in prestigious design exhibitions, among them Trnava International Poster Triennial (Trnava, Slovakia), the China International Poster Biennial (Hangzhou, China) and the International Triennial of the Ecological Poster 4th Block (Kharkov, Ukraine). She has exhibited internationally in many invitational and juried exhibitions and has had solo photography shows in Pennsylvania, New York and England.

Her work is in the permanent collections of Union of Artists and Writers of Cuba, Havana, Cuba; 4th Block International Triennial of Eco-Poster Collection (Kharkov, Ukraine); Erie Art Museum (Erie, Pennsylvania); Ithaca College (Ithaca, New York); Lahti Poster Museum (Finland); The Israel Museum (Jerusalem) and The Poster Collection (Warsaw, Poland).
