Artist Statement 

Marissa's graphic design practice transcends aesthetics, using the medium as a tool to question traditional narratives and highlight overlooked aspects of life. Grounded in research and storytelling, her work delves into complex themes, weaving together thought-provoking visuals with layered meaning. Each project invites audiences to reflect, sparking curiosity and challenging assumptions about the world around them. Marissa prioritizes designs that go beyond surface-level engagement, fostering meaningful dialogue and encouraging viewers to critically examine familiar ideas. Her work not only captivates but also educates and inspires, positioning graphic design as a powerful medium for cultural critique and transformative conversations.
