Are you Temple's next Commencement speaker? Deadline to apply is TODAY
If you are a graduating senior, you have the opportunity to represent your community and address all Temple graduates at the main, university-wide ceremony in the Liacouras Center on Thursday, May 9. The honor is among the highest distinctions a student can receive.
The process to apply is simple. First, download the application here. Once it's complete, either email a copy to Olivia Menta at olivia.menta@temple.edu or drop off a hard-copy to her in Room 210B of the Administrative Suites on the 2nd floor of the Tyler building. The deadline to apply is 11:59 p.m. on January 25, 2019. The Dean's Office will review each submission and nominate one student forward to Temple’s Board of Trustees, who will select the finalist.
Eligible students must be seniors who graduated in August 2018 or who will graduate in January or May 2019 with a minimum 3.0 GPA. The board is looking for students who have made a constructive social and/or educational impact on the Temple community, and who are well-spoken and able to capture the celebratory mood of Commencement in the time allowed.
