CANCELLED: ANITA GUERRA’s exhibition, “Tres Patrias” is opening at the Boyer/Tyler School of Art and Architecture Atrium in Philadelphia, PA, on May 20th continuing until June 19th, 2020.

“Tres Patrias” documents the illustrations, paintings, embroideries, research, and artifacts created for her illustrated family memoir of the same title. It is a visual kaleidoscope of her journey from an idyllic childhood in Havana to an orphanage in Philadelphia, on to a life as an artist and professor in Rome.

She will also show a film she produced on her modernist architect father, Juan Ignacio Guerra, previewed in the “Tres Patrias” show at the Temple Rome Gallery in March 2020.

Anita Guerra is a recipient of the Temple University Presidential Humanities and Arts Research Award for 2018-2020.
