D&I Speaker Series: Biennial MFA Invited Speaker Rodrigo Corral

D&I welcomes Rodrigo Corral, the celebrated designer behind some of the most iconic visuals in publishing, for its 2025 Biennial MFA Invited Speaker. Rodrigo will lead a two-day MFA Design Workshop and deliver a public lecture open to the entire Temple community. His work spans books, brands, interior spaces, and film, with a focus on creating design that cuts through today’s noise and rises above trends. This event promises an inspiring exploration of design and its lasting impact.

About the speaker:

Rodrigo Corral is the Creative Director for Farrar, Straus & Giroux and Creative Director at Large for New Directions. At the helm of Rodrigo Corral Studio, he has created leading conceptual design for books, brands, interior spaces, and film, partnering with influential figures like Jay-Z, Ray Dalio, Edward Snowden, Rachel Cusk, and Chuck Palahniuk, as well as organizations such as The Met, The Criterion Collection, Amazon Prime, and The New York Times. Rodrigo is the author of the New York Times bestselling book SNEAKERS and the creator of the app Wutch. His work has been recognized by the Art Directors Club, AIGA, TDC, SPD, and more.

About the Biennial MFA Invited Speaker series

The Biennial MFA Invited Speaker has been a long-standing tradition at Tyler and now kicks off the D&I Speaker Series for Spring 2025. Invited by the Tyler Design and Illustration MFA students, each guest leads a graduate workshop and delivers a public talk open to the entire Temple community.

Past speakers have included Luba Lukova, Stefan Sagmeister, James Victore, Louise Fili, Gail Anderson, Christoph Niemann, Matteo Bologna, Paula Scher, Robynne Raye, Lisa Congdon, and Zipeng Zhu.
